Research Behind It
First off, when it comes to human research, there isn’t much, yet.
There is no proven evidence that would indicate certain strains are better for sex. However, users may suggest certain strains are better for specific things such as sexual anxiety, low sex drive, and erectile dysfunction(ED).
Some people suffer from sexual performance anxiety which could lead to having problems in the bedroom. We already know that CBD is great for helping those with anxiety, but it may also be beneficial when that anxiety revolves around sex. A 2019 study also found that adult males taking 300–600 milligrams of CBD had significantly reduced anxiety symptoms (Medical News Today).
Low sex drive can be an issue many face for various different reasons ranging from hormones to medications and more. A study from 2017 suggests that cannabis may actually activate the part of the brain that controls arousal. Therefore, cannabis may be helpful in getting our sex drives up. Although, too much cannabis use could lower sex drive in males, according to a 2015 review (Medical News Today).
Males who suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED) may benefit from using cannabis. Practioners believe that cannabis can promote blood flow to the penis which would then result in a relief of ED and perhaps longer lasting intercourse. A 2014 review found that cannabis may improve ejaculatory and sexual performance. However, more research is necessary ( Medical News Today).
